For the entire month of December, The National Museum to present a collection of 4 short films from various Caribbean islands including Martinique, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, and St. Kitts & Nevis. The films are family-friendly, and together represent an hour-long cross-section of Caribbean society that would inspire and educate locals and visitors alike.
Ti Coq (Martinique) tells the story of an ambitious young boy whose relentless quest to train his pet fighting cock is met with a number of coming-of-age challenges he must overcome. Sugar (Jamaica) shows us a young lady’s drive to elevate herself from poverty and a tough decision she must make when a tourist couple offers her money in exchange for bending her principles. After Mas (Trinidad & Tobago) is a provocative look at race relations in Caribbean society as a fair-skin uptown girl battles her newfound desire for a rough but charming fruit vendor she met during J’ouvert. RasConception (St. Kitts & Nevis) is a comical look at how perceptions get the better of two girls while hiking in the rainforest.
With daily showings for the month of December, it is our pleasure to extend an invitation to both locals and visitors to watch and enjoy this Caribbean showcase upstairs at the National Museum.

Showings begin at 10:00 AM and repeat at 11:15 AM, 12:30 AM, 1:45 PM, 3:00 PM Monday-Friday. 10:00 AM and 11:15 AM Saturday.
