In April 2019 the Trust completed the application process to become one of the newest members of the International National Trust Organization which is based in the UK. It is a registered charity that was established in December 2017.
The Trust was invited to join the 12-year-old prestigious organization which serves over 70 National Trusts around the world and in May 2019, the Trust was accepted as a full member of INTO bringing the total number of members to 79.
INTO functions as the umbrella body for the global family of National Trusts. Their main objectives are to bring Trusts together to share experiences and resources, to grow the capacity of existing trusts, and to help develop new ones in countries where they do no exists as well as to be a global voice for matters of common concern.
Some of the great benefits of being a member are the connection to other organizations around the world; having access to a network of experts and knowledge bank, access to the small grants programme, training and capacity building, and participation in forums that deal with advocacy and civil society development.
The St. Christopher National Trust is excited about this new venture and looks forward to reaping the many benefits that can be derived from our timely entrance into this global family.
